Jake Katel Restaurant Kitchens of Miami: (2008-2011)

Starting in 2008, I began calling the best restaurants all over Miami and asking if I could go in their kitchens on their busiest nights and take photos for a couple of hours. A lot of times in life, all you gotta do is ask; and more importantly, follow through. Thankfully, everybody said, “Yes!” This artistic survey represents some of the best restaurant kitchens of Miami from 2008-2011. Thank you to all the chefs, cooks, and workers in each and every kitchen; and much respect to all of you. About the Author Jake Katel is a writer, artist, photographer, moviemaker, and media freelancer raised in Mexico City and Miami. He's been a featured author at the Miami Book Fair, and featured filmmaker at the Miami International Film Festival. Three of his books have been reviewed or featured in the Miami Herald, and he even made it to the front page. HistoryMiami Museum collects and features his photos and books. He has won a Buzzfeed Award for Craziest Florida Story 2012. His work has been featured in art galleries, newspapers, magazines, and on radio and broadcast television.
