The Royal Academy of Economic and Finance Sciences of Spain was officially established in Spain, in 1958, but its roots can be traced back to the 18th century when King Ferdinand VI of Spain set up the Royal Private Board of Commerce. RACEF promotes the cooperation between researchers of the most important institutions and academies around the world, and seeks to advance the scientific knowledge and the existing decision and policy making practices in the fields of economics and finance. Zopounidis was also honored by the same Society with Edgeworth - Pareto Award in 2013. Evangelos Grigoroudis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Production Engineering and Management, Technical University of Crete, Chania, Greece. He received the diploma in production and management engineering from the Technical University of Crete, in 1991 and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the same University, in 1996 and 1999, respectively. His research interests are in service quality, operational research, and customer behavioral analysis. He acts as reviewer for more than 50 scientific journals and he is an Assistant Editor of Operational Research: An International Journal and International Journal of Decision Support Systems, and a member of the Editorial Board International Journal of Information and Decision Sciences, International Journal of Information Systems in the Service Sector, and International Journal of Multicriteria Decision Making.Nikolaos Matsatsinis is a Professor of Information and Intelligent Decision Support Systems at the Department of Production Engineering and Management of the Technical University of Crete, Greece.
