The selected papers cover recent advances in all branches of operational research, mathematical modeling and decision making. It covers a wide range of key areas from digital economy, to supply chain management, and also finance. The book adopts an applied perspective that covers the contributions of OR in the broad field of business and economics linked with the discipline of computer science. The chapters are based on papers presented at the 6th International Symposium & 28th National Conference on Operational Research. Although the conference is organized by the Hellenic Operational Research Society (HELORS), the contributions in this book promotes international co-operation among researchers and practitioners working in the field. About the Author Angelo Sifaleras is an Assistant Professor of Mathematical Programming - Network Optimization at the University of Macedonia, Department of Applied Informatics, School of Information Sciences, Greece, Thessaloniki. His research focuses on algorithms and models for network optimization problems. Currently, he serves as a member of the Editorial Board of the Yugoslav Journal of Operations Research (YUJOR) and he is also a senior member of ACM. Konstantinos Petridis received his Ph.D in Operational Research at Democritus University. His research interests and expertise lie in quantitative methods: mathematical programming models for optimization and design of supply chain networks, mathematical programming models for forest and agricultural scheduling and production and data envelopment analysis models for various scientific fields (bioenergy, computer science, scientometrics, energy). Furthermore, he is working on the field of e-waste management applying advanced forecasting techniques.
