About the Author Emanuele Borgonovo is a Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences at Bocconi University, Milan. He is Director of the Bachelor in Economics, Management and Computer Science and Director of the Management Science Laboratory of SDA Bocconi Business School. He is co-editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Operational Research and a member of the editorial board of several international journals. He has been elected member of the Council of the Decision Analysis Society of INFORMS (2015-2018). He is co-Chair of the Technical Committee on Uncertainty Analysis of the European Safety and Reliability Association. He has received several prestigious national and international awards. He has been invited speaker and keynote speaker at several international conferences and has worked on numerous national and international research projects. He earned his PhD in Probabilistic Risk Assessment at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology under the supervision of Prof. George E.
