Katana Saya is a new, innovative knife brand, inspired by the chefs and centuries long cooking traditions of both the Eastern and Western worlds. We strive to bring the very best of these two cuisines together in our knife ranges, in a celebration of the different food cultures and traditions of our times. Created in the style of Japanese Samurai swords from high quality 67-layer Damascus steel, the blades are incredibly robust and sharp, and feature chestnut shaped handles made from natural wood to provide stability and perfect balance while preparing food. The 24cm Sashimi Knife features a long, pointed blade which is specifically designed for filleting, boning and preparing raw fish. The blade can be used to make traditional Japanese dishes such as its namesake, sashimi, as well as sushi.
