Physiotherapists and doctors recommend pelvic floor exercises to help improve levels of continence, but often these are not enough on their own, and it is very difficult to know exactly which muscles need to be exercised. Some women are unable to voluntarily exercise the pelvic floor muscle themselves and require assistance. This is when the Elise is required, playing a vital role in locating and exercising the muscle for you. The Elise is the ideal way to build up strength in the pelvic floor, and results can be seen in as little as a few weeks. The Pelvic Floor muscle is like any other human muscle, it requires exercise and attention to remain active and strong. The Elise works by stimulating that muscle, inducing the muscle to contract and be exercised. The Elise unit contains 4 clinically proven programs that are effective against urge, stress and mixed incontinence by treating the overactive nerves in this area. Elise Features: Comfortable Stimulation -- The strength of the stimulation increases gradually, making the feeling very comfortable and in your control. Easy Start - One Touch Memory -- The Elise has intelligent memory that enables the unit to remember the last program and the strength setting used. Clinically Tested Programs -- The programs which have been preset into the unit have been clinically tested and proven to be highly effective. Safety Duration Override -- A safety duration override feature has been incorporated into the Elise to ensure that the pelvic floor muscle is not overworked. After the birth of your baby we recommend you begin to use the Elise only when you feel you are ready and not before your six-week postpartum check-up. Directions To use the TensCare Elise, first ensure it's charged. Apply Go Gel, a sterile, water-based lubricant, to the probe. Insert the probe vaginally or anally, then select one of the four pre-set programs. The unit will automatically increase stimulation strength gradually. Use for up to 20 minutes, then remove the probe and clean it with mild soap and water. Do not use if you have a pacemaker, heart rhythm problem, cervical cancer, epilepsy, or are pregnant.
