Probably it is the most versatile of all apparatus invented by Joseph Pilates. It also offers in a unique way the possibility of fine adjustments to in- or decrease the level of difficulty. This is one of the reasons the Cadillac is so often used in Pilates private training sessions. Almost all of the Cadillac's exercises can also be done on the so-called Tower/Wall Unit. And Tower group classes gain more and more popularity. The two-volume Cadillac training manuals cover the extensive repertoire of exercise options. In this Part I, we focus after a general introduction to the Cadillac, on the over 100 exercises done with the Roll-Down-Bar and the Push-Through-Bar. In Part II, the additional 112 exercises with the Arm and Leg Springs, the Airplane Board and the Cadillac Fuzzies are shown. All the exercises in the Cadillac Manual are illustrated with large, professionally photographed images in several easy steps and are described in detail with regard to correct setup, exercise goals, precise execution, frequent mistakes, modifications or variations, and possible contraindications.
