Morrison, Ed.D., is professor of early childhood education and holder of the Velma E. Schmidt Endowed Chair in early childhood education at the University of North Texas. Professor Morrison's accomplishments include a Distinguished Academic Service Award from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, an Outstanding Alumni Award from the University of Pittsburgh School of Education, and Outstanding Service and Teaching Awards from Florida International University. Dr. Morrison is the author of many books on early childhood education, child development, curriculum, and teacher education, including Early Childhood Education Today, Eighth Edition, and Teaching in America, Third Edition.
