Tenuta il Bosco Pinot Nero Poggio Pelato Oltrepo Pavese, 75 cl Italian Red Wine A bright ruby colour with bright purplish tones and aromas of blackcurrants, rhubarb and spice. The bouquet is pleasantly vinous, delicate and fresh, with hints of roses and the flavour is broad, soft and rich, with discreet almond notes. The Estate Tenuta il Bosco is located in the Oltrepò Pavese area, in the Province of Pavia in Lombardy. It has been making a name for itself over the last decade by producing exciting, highquality sparkling wines. This has been possible thanks to the recognition of the Oltrepò Pavese as the birthplace of Pinot Nero in Italy. Pinot Nero’s reputation as essential for highend sparkling wines, as well as incredibly fine and elegant reds, does not come, however, without its share of challenges. This variety is very unpredictable in both the vineyard and the cellar. However, the finished product can be truly remarkable. ESTATE IN THE FOREST: Located in the Oltrepò Pavese DOCG area of Lombardy, the village of Zenevredo is home to Tenuta il Bosco, the 'Estate in the Forest', where 120 hectares of planted vines are used to create wines with a remarkable finish

PINOT NERO POGGIO PELATO: A red wine using 100% Pinot Noir grapes to authentically capture the essence of Oltrepò Pavese, Poggio Pelato has a seductive ruby colour with purple tones joined by delicate, fresh aromas of blackcurrant, rhubarb and spice

A SOFT WINE WITH RANGE: This Pinot Nero is a full-bodied and well-balanced wine that offers a broad, soft, and rich palate with discreet notes of almonds. Best served chilled at 16-18°C

VINIFICATION: Great care is used when vinifying the Pinot Noir grapes to ensure the characteristics of the area are fully expressed. A period of malolactic fermentation is followed by 6 months of ageing to attain greater harmony and complexity in the wine

PAIRING NOTES: Poggio Pelato is an excellent food wine, a glass of this Italian red will pair particularly well with mature cheeses or meat dishes, especially roasts
