Three Ships 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, 700ml Crafted at the James Sedgwick Distillery in Wellington, South Africa, the Three Ships Whisky 12-Year-Old Single Malt, celebrates the tenacious spirit of the dedicated whisky team. Although making whisky in South Africa was in the traditional sense never deemed possible, through hard-work, determination and passion, we have achieved what many thought not possible. This first release in the Master Distiller's Private Collection is a fine example of how South African whisky ingenuity is contributing to the expansion of the world whisky category. This collectable, special release whisky is light golden in colour. Layers of shortbread, dried fruit, soft leather, cherries, roasted nuts with notes of floral and mocha unravel on the nose. The evident smoky, peaty influence is complemented by pepper, dried peaches, citrus, hints of Christmas Pudding and an earthiness that reminds of a pine forest. The finish is warm, creamy and savoury with delicate liquorice that lingers in the mouth Ledaig 10 Year Old Whisky, 70 cl Established in 1798, Tobermory is The Isle of Mull’s only whisky distillery and one of the oldest commercial distilleries in Scotland. It sits at the centre of the vibrant island community from which it takes its name. Tobermory’s past however, is as colourful as the towns seafront. A chequered story marked by closures and financial troubles has, on more than one occasion, threatened its very existence. Yet with creativity and dedication, Tobermory has endured its troubles. After its most recent hiatus in production for much needed maintenance and renovation, Tobermory Distillery has in 2019, re-opened its doors and fired up its stills once more. Under the Tobermory Distillery name this Artisan Hebridean Distiller now produces Tobermory and Ledaig Single Malts and for the first time in its history, Tobermory Gin. Within our Ledaig 10 Year Old Single Malt, you can expect rich island character with tantalising hints of grass, malt, gingerbread, stewed fruit syrup and finely polished oak on the nose. The palate gives way to a smooth, velvety mouthfeel with fruity tangs and exquisitely spiced gingerbread and aniseed. The finish presents ginger and spicy oak, matched with bitter chocolate and almond that gently fades with a tail of sweet salty seas.
