400 Conejos is finely crafted from 100% espadín agave and carries ancient Mesoamerican traditions in every bottle. The Ancient Mesoamerica, sacred tradition was priests or the spiritual elite were allowed to commune with the gods through the ritual drinking of beverages crafted from agave. The gods of the drinks were called collectively centzon-totchtin (400 Rabbits) in Nahuatl; this mezcal 400 Conejos is named after the ancestral belief that agave spirits were occupied by 400 rabbits. Believed that the spirit of the 400 rabbits is carried to this day in each bottle of this fine mezcal; those who ingested the agave spirit would be controlled by one of the 400 rabbits, but no one knew which rabbit you’d get with each mezcal, as each rabbit had a different personality and way of making you think and act. The award-winning mezcal is well-balanced and smooth with soft hints of wood, sweet notes of cooked agave, and a pleasant smoky finish.
