Description

Cantine Torri was originally a cooperative started in 1966, but it has since become a small private estate with around 25 hectares of mature vines. Converted fully to organic wine production, they have sites dotted through the foothills below the impressive Gran Sasso mountain, lying between 100 to 300 metres above sea level. Despite being picked well into October, the dark rose Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo "4 20" has nice grip and amazing purity. It spends 6-7 hours on the skins, which is enough to give it a distinct colour and some real complexity. The versatility of this darker style is amazing and the wine pairs beautifully with cured meats and terrine.
