Product Description Código 1530 ultra-premium tequilas have been perfected over several generations the way one would a homemade recipe, embracing time-honoured “codes” and customs in our private distillery. The tequila begins with fully-matured agave, which is cooked in stainless steel ovens, fermented using local yeast and distilled in stills handmade by the distilling family themselves. Our Código 1530 Añejo tequila is carefully aged for 18 months in the in the finest French white oak Cabernet barrels, sourced from Napa Valley’s most prestigious wine producers. What results is an award-winning Añejo tequila that is refined, elegant and expressive with hints of fruit, mingled with oak, touches of vanilla and a bit of spice PRODUCTION We pride ourselves in striving to make Código 1530 the most selective tequila in the world, using only perfect inputs and age-old secret family processes. We hand-select the best, fully-matured agave, to ensure that with each harvest, our agave’s Brix level (sugar content) meets our high standards, for a better tasting, smooth tequila. We make each batch naturally, without any added sugars or colour or flavour. Each drop of Amatitán water we use is from freshwater pools and rainwater, filtered through the volcanic soil of Los Bajos. Our proprietary chopper allows us to extract only the best juice and pulp from the first press of ripe agave, to garner the purest flavor. We use local yeast to facilitate the proper fermentation process. We age our tequila to taste in the finest French white oak Cabernet wine barrels, sourced carefully from Napa Valley’s most prestigious wine producers, in our time-honoured family aging technique, rather than the more commonly used American whiskey barrels.
