Código 1530 ultra-premium tequilas have been optimized over several generations the way one would a homemade recipe, embracing time-honoured 'codes' and customs in our private distillery. The tequila begins with fully-matured agave, which is cooked in stainless steel ovens, fermented using local yeast and distilled in stills handmade by the distilling family themselves. Our Código 1530 Blanco tequila is perfected over a lengthy, 15-day process that results is an award-winning blanco that has an earthy, mineral character that balances the citrus sweetness beautifully. Our Código 1530 Rosa Blanco tequila begins with the purity of our Blanco, which is then rested for 1 month in the finest uncharred French white oak Cabernet wine barrels from Napa Valley. Meticulously aged to taste for 6 months in French white oak red wine barrels procured from Napa Valley, our Código 1530 Reposado tequila is an award-winning reposado that has bright, sweet agave notes with the added complexity of vanilla, toasted caramel and subtle cocoa powder. Next comes our Código 1530 Añejo tequila, carefully aged for 18 months in the finest French white oak Cabernet barrels, sourced from Napa Valley’s most prestigious wine producers. What results is an award-winning Añejo tequila that is refined, elegant and expressive with hints of fruit, mingled with oak, touches of vanilla and a bit of spice. Last but not least, our Código 1530 Origen (Extra Añejo), aged for 6 years, combines the refined palate of an aged tequila with many of the tasting notes typically found in aged whiskeys and fine cognacs.
