The protective rods insert the knife safely and optimally into the sharpening finity. They have an additional polishing effect without damaging the cutting edge of the knife when pulling through. Another advantage of the protective rods is that they avoid sections into the meat. The Master Steel can be used as a handheld device or as a table device in the holder.
