Die Studie wurde im Fischlabor der Abteilung für Tierproduktion an der Hochschule für Agrarwissenschaften der Universität Duhok durchgeführt. Dabei wurden Karpfen (Cyprinus carpio L.) in drei Experimenten von jeweils 84 Tagen Dauer untersucht, denen eine zweiwöchige Anpassungsphase in Kunststofftanks vorausging. Für die statistische Analyse wurde ein vollständig randomisiertes Design (CRD) innerhalb des SAS-Programms (2002) angewendet, bestehend aus vier Behandlungen und drei Wiederholungen mit jeweils sieben Fischen. Die Fischdiät bestand aus vier Futtermittelformulierungen: einer Kontrolle und drei weiteren unter Verwendung von Moringa-Blättern, Samen und handzerkleinerten Blättern in Konzentrationen von (2 %, 4 % und 6 %). Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass der Einsatz von Moringa oleifera die Wachstumsleistung verbesserte und das Blutprofil der Fische signifikant steigerte: einschließlich roter Blutkörperchen, Hämatokrit, Hämoglobin und Lymphozyten. Auch die biochemischen Parameter wurden verbessert: einschließlich High- und Low-Density-Lipoprotein sowie Serum-Biochemiewerte wie Albumin, Globulin, Glukose und Gesamtprotein. Die Leberenzyme Aspartat-Aminotransferase und Alanin-Amino-Aminotransferase lieferten die besten Ergebnisse, ebenso wie die Proteinparameter: Proteinaufnahme, -retention und produktiver Wert.
