This book focuses on the promotion of rice cultivation. It covers aspects of the adoption of the system of rice intensification, factors influencing consumer behavior, fertilizer efficiency analysis, family farming, and the complexity of cropping systems. Thus, what the Author proposes is an in-depth study of the answers to several questions. The main goal of this book is to provide essential information to develop and revive the rice sector in DRC in order to cope with import influxes, contribute to improving the performance of this sector and improve living conditions in rural areas at the national level. As a research scientist, one of my responsibilities has been to raise awareness by letting people know that the agricultural sector is key to rural development. The opportunities for rice cultivation should be taken seriously by rice farmers and political decision-makers.
