Durch das vielfältige Angebot der Diskonter werden immer mehr Motive durch den Kauf von Produkten befriedigt. Da sich in den letzten Jahren ein Bio-Boom entwickelt hat, ist auch dieser bei den Diskontern zu spüren. Durch den aktuellen Bio-Boom und die Vermehrung der Diskonter wurde mit dieser Arbeit eine Verbindung der beiden Trends geschaffen, um die Motive beim Kauf von Bio-Produkten bei Diskontern bei Konsumenten festzustellen. Mit dieser Arbeit wurde die österreichische Situation der Diskonter erläutert und anhand einer empirischen Analyse, einer Gruppendiskussion, wurden die Motive der Diskont-Käufer beim Kauf von Bio-Produkten erforscht. Das Buch richtet sich an Entscheidungsträger der Lebensmittelbranche und an interessierte Privatpersonen.
