Apart from describing the steps and pathways of nitrogen metabolism in rice, the book also emphasis the changes taking place due to genotypes and environmental factors and stressors during rice growth and development. About the Author Dr. Basuchaudhuri obtained his M.Sc(Ag) and Ph.D. degrees in 1972 and 1977 from Calcutta University. In 1972, he joined Calcutta University as a Research Scholar and then worked as Plant Physiologist from 1975 to 1984. In 1984, he joined the Indian Council of Agricultural Research as a Senior Scientist. Dr. Basuchaudhuri has over forty years of experience in research, teaching and field work, and he has published more than 50 research articles and one book.
