Product Description The International Conference on Education, Reflection and Development took place in May 2013 at Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. TThe event was organized by the Educational Sciences Department of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, and brought together participants from various different countries, including Israel, Greece, Turkey, Republic of Moldova, the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Romania. The conference gave these scholars the opportunity to discuss a wide range of topics relevant for teacher training and related to didactic research in the context of globalization. It also provided numerous opportunities for the development of projects and international collaborations in the future. Given its wide scope, the conference was attended by a variety of of participants, including academic staff interested, or working, in the field of the social sciences, particularly those concerned with education; teachers from all over the world, looking for new findings, ideas and solutions; researchers in the pedagogical field; and university students, at both the undergraduate and graduate level, looking for research models or for partners in their field of study and interest. This volume brings together several of the best papers presented at the conference, and will be of interest to anyone involved in the various fields of education. About the Author Professor Vasile Chis, PhEd, is Head of the Educational Sciences Department at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. He is also a doctoral supervisor in the field of educational sciences. Professor Chis’ main fields of interest include general didactics, curriculum theory, educational management, and computer-based instruction. Professor Ion Albulescu is Vice Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, and is a member of the Educational Sciences Department of this institution. Professor Albulescu’s main fields of interest include the history of pedagogy, educational alternatives and pedagogical doctrines.
