Students studying related topics will also benefit from this material.</p> About the Author Dr Jasmeet Kour was awarded doctoral degree at Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal, India from the Department of Food Engineering and Technology. She has been serving as an assistant professor at the Department of Food Science and Technology, Government College For Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir since 2009. Dr. Jasmeet conducts her research in nutraceuticals derived from plant origin, and her work has been published in reputed journals with high-impact factors and eminent publishing houses in the field of food science. She has presented her research and review papers in various national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and webinars. She has also authored and co-authored several book chapters and scientific articles published in international books with prestigious publishing houses. Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Nayik is an assistant professor in Department of Food Science & Technology, Government Degree College, Shopian, India. He completed his Masters Degree in food technology from IUST, Awantipora, India, and PhD from SLIET, Punjab, India. He has published 45 peer-reviewed research and review papers, 29 book chapters, 2 edited books, and 1 textbook and has delivered a number of presentations in various national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and webinars. Dr. Nayik was shortlisted twice for prestigious INSPIRE-Faculty Award in 2017 and 2018 from the Indian National Science Academy. Recently he was nominated for India’s National Award (INSA Medal for Young Scientists-2019-20). Dr. Nayik is also serving as editor, associate Editor, and assistant editor in many Journals related to food science and technology. Dr Nayik is recipient of Top Peer Reviewer Award 2019 from Web of Sciences Group for placing in the top 1% of reviewers in agricultural sciences.
