About the Author He has completed his masters in Microbiology from Kuvempu University, Karnataka, India and received PhD in Microbiology from Kannur University, Kerala India. His area of research is peptide antibiotics, biofilms, drug resistance and Phage therapy. He has more than five years of teaching and research experience. His contribution in antimicrobial peptides and drug resistance appeared in various journals including-peptides, Journal of Applied microbiology, Applied Biochemistry & Biotechnology, Mycopathologia. He has been Board of studies member in Microbiology (2014-18) and Chairman, Board of Examiners in Biotechnology and Microbiology (2012-15), Kannur University. He is a reviewer of Journal of Bacteriology and Mycology. He is a member of Indian Peptide Society (IPS), Indian Initiative for Management of Antibiotic Resistance (IIMAR) and International Society for Viruses of Microorganisms (ISVM). He is also the Research Director of Kannur University since 2018. Dr. Sreejith has received MPhil in Biophysics and PhD in Biochemistry from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, India. He has more than 19 years of teaching and research experience. His area of research is antimicrobial peptides and proteins, anti inflammatory compounds and cancer biology.
