Description

Product Description Advances and Avenues in the Development of Novel Carriers for Bioactives and Biological Agents provides sound data on the utility of biological and plant-based drugs and describes challenges faced in all aspects offering indispensable strategies to use in the development of bioactive medicines. Bioactive based medications are commonly used throughout the world and have been recognized by physicians and patients for their therapeutic efficacy. Bioactive formulations, including their subordinates and analogs, address 50% of all medicines in clinical practice. Novel bioactive medicine transporters can cure many disorders by both spatial and transitory approaches and have various justifications in medicinal potential. This book presents information on the utility of natural, plant, animal and bioengineered bioactive materials. It is a fundamental source of information and data for pharmacognosists, pharmaceutical analysts, drug transport scientists and pharmacologists working in bioactive medications. Review Explores aspects of bioactive transportation and depictions of indispensable strategies used in the development of bioactive medicines About the Author Dr. Manju Singh obtained her M.S. in Pharmaceutical biotechnology from Department of Pharmaceutical sciences, Dr. H.S. Gour University, Sagar and Ph.D. from University Institute of Pharmacy, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (C.G.) India where she is currently working as assistant professor. She has around 18 years of teaching and research experience. Recently she had received highest acclaim of featuring among Top 2% Scientists across the World in the field of Pharmacy and Pharmacology for the year 2020 by Stanford University, USA. Her prime research area includes designing strategies for protein and peptide delivery, topical systems for autoimmune disorders like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and experimental designing using advanced statistical and mathematical modelling methods. She has 80 research and review papers, 16 book chapters published in national and international journals and 1 book (elsevier). She has citations more than 3000 with h-index 26 and i10 index of 43 (Google scholar) and scopus h-index 21; 1649 citations. She has 2 international, 1 Indian patent and 1 filed. She has successfully completed several projects funded by Indian council of medical research (ICMR), university grants commission (UGC), C.G. state council of science and technology (CGCOST), and Department of science and technology (DST). She is recipient of DHR-ICMR international fellowship 2014-15 and number of awards at national and state level for excellence in research viz. Young scientist award of the state of Chhattisgarh 2006 in biotechnology. She has been bestowed with Best Teacher award (Assistant Professor) of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University in science section 2016. She is a life member of various professional bodies like Indian Pharmaceutical association (IPA), Association of Pharmacy teachers of India (APTI), Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA). She had been visiting scientist at School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutics, University of Mississippi, Oxford, USA 2015.
