Description

Experience a unique session of standards from Keith Jarrett with At The Deer Head Inn by Verve. This recording stands out from his 1980s and 90s work due to the relaxed, homey nightclub setting. The performance features a special trio lineup where Paul Motian performs in place of the usual drummer Jack DeJohnette. Because Jarrett played piano at the Deer Head Inn as a teen, the venue holds personal charm that brings a sense of warmth and comfort to the improvisations.
