Description
Experience a landmark moment in jazz history with Paul Bley: Open, To Love on vinyl. Recorded in August 1972 after a call from Manfred Eicher, this solo piano album captures the Canadian pianist at a significant stage of his career. While Bley had already released 18 records as a leader, this recording stands out as a unique chapter in his musical journey. This release follows the tradition of seminal solo recordings initiated by ECM producer Manfred Eicher, such as Chick Corea's Piano Improvisations and Keith Jarrett's recordings. It offers listeners a chance to hear the profound solo piano work of a master. This vinyl edition is a must-have for collectors of jazz and fans of the ECM aesthetic, providing a deep look into the solo improvisations that defined this era of jazz piano.
