Description

Experience the legendary sound of the Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Swing Series. These JS111 nickel flat wound strings are the undisputed choice for jazz guitarists seeking a classic, authentic tone. Unlike pretenders that use ground or compressed winding, these are true flat wound strings featuring a polished nickel winding on a round core. This specific construction provides the ideal balance of fundamental notes and overtones necessary for traditional jazz performances. Designed for players who demand a smooth feel and a mellow, powerful sound, these light gauge strings (.011-.047w) offer a unique sonic profile. Many musicians find that the tone actually improves with age, providing a rich character that evolves over time. Whether you are playing in a professional jazz ensemble or practicing at home, these strings deliver the smooth, glassy texture and reliable tension required for high-level play.
