The steam tempered finish on these taps prevents workpiece materialDormer's E545 machine taps, producing British Association (BA) threads, and conform to the International Standards Organization. They are manufactured from premium High Speed steel so you can expect great tool life and superior performance. With a spiral point, E545 taps are designed to thread holes which go all the way through the workpiece, whilst the steam tempered finish makes sure you get a clean, accurate thread by preventing workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool. You can use E545 taps to thread a wide range of materials, including steels, aluminium and stainless steels, making them very versatile tools. from sticking to the cutting edge so you get a clean, accurate thread and the High Speed steel used in manufacture means you can rely on great performance and extended tool life. The taps conform to guidelines laid down by the International Standards Organization. With a spiral flute, E544 taps are designed to thread blind holes.
