The L12026UNF set of taps and dies contains an extended range of unified fine (UNF) right hand taps and dies for creating internal and external threads in a range of materials including steel, aluminium and stainless steels. The set also includes the tap and die holders to make this a very comprehensive set of hand tapping tools. The set includes: - The E524 tap creates internal unified fine threads and is suitable for hand tapping many materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steels. Manufactured from High Speed steel to improve performance and increase tool life, each thread size in the set comes with two taps (serial taps) which can be used one after the other to produce an accurate thread in the material. E524 taps have a bright finish to prevent material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool and the straight flute design means it will thread both blind holes (which stop part way through a material) and through holes (which go all the way through). The L112 tap wrenches provide a secure hold on the taps, with a suitable size tap wrench for each tap in the set. Securing the tap in the wrench is a very simple operation with no special tools needed to tighten the wrench. The F330 High Speed steel adjustable hand die is a right hand die to create normal (right hand) unified fine threads. It comes with a bright finish so workpiece material will not stick to the cutting edge of the die and is designed with a split in the ring which allows you to make small adjustments when threading to achieve the tolerance you require. The F330 is held in a die stock (L110) and can be used for hand threading a number of materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steels. The L110 die stocks included in the set will securely hold the F330 dies in the set.
