We source the finest grown barley for our whisky, our water is drawn by borehole from the Breckland Acquifer, England’s largest underground source of fresh water, which runs underneath the Norfolk based distillery and every drop of The English whisky is aged in carefully selected barres onsite. Norfolk’s microclimate is optimal for barrel aging, with clean air, mild winters and dry summers. We have breathed new life into English whisky distilling and will continue to set the standard for generations to come. THE ENGLISH DISTILLERY was the first registered whisky distillery in over a century and remain at the forefront of the category. At a time when world-class whisky made in England was unthinkable, our father & son founders took a chance and kickstarted a category. Winning ‘World’s Best Single Malt Whisky’ in the World Whiskies Awards 2024 propelled the distillery into the world limelight.

It is a rare occurrence that triple distilled single malt is made here at The Englsih Distillery, but these small batches of light, delicate whisky are wonderful to drink.

In a distillery that already limits batch sizes to ensure that every whisky we make is exceptional, The English Small Batch range takes it to the next level. These limited releases showcase the expertise of our distillery team in using various techniques to bring out the depth of flavours in our exceptional stocks of single malt whiskies. Each batch is unique and once it’s gone, it’s gone.

A truly delightful whisky, with wafts of vanilla custard, fudge and green apples. The palate is smooth, easy drinking and creamy, finishing with hints of butterscotch.
