Merten MEG5171-0000 | Universal Dimmer Insert - Metallic | Made in Germany With the universal dimmer insert (hereinafter referred to as insert), you can switch and dim ohmic, inductive or capacitive loads per channel: • Dimmable LED bulbs. • Light bulbs (resistive load). • 230 V halogen bulbs (resistive load). • Low voltage halogen lamps with dimmable wound transformer (inductive load). • Low-voltage halogen lamps with electronic transformer (capacitive load). The insert automatically detects the connected load. It is overload resistant and short circuit proof. The insert also has one (single insert) or two (2-way insert) PlusLink inputs that allow you to control the channels of the insert from other places. The insert, completed with a module (see function overview), is the receiving device and is controlled via PlusLink (PL) of transmitting devices. Transmitting devices are e.g. B: • Central point insert (complete with corresponding modules). • Extension plus, 1-gang / 2-fold. • Mechanical buttons. • External Sensors To use the PlusLink, you need a separate wire in your installation.
