Merten MEG5172-0000, universal dimmer insert, double, metallic, made in Germany With the universal dimmer insert (called the following use) you can switch and dim ohmic, inductive or capacitive loads per channel: For dimmable LED bulbs. Bulbs (resistive load). 230 V halogen bulbs (resistive load). Low voltage halogen lamps with dimmable coiled transformer (inductive load). Low voltage halogen lamps with electronic transformer (capacitive load). The insert detects the connected load automatically. It is overload resistant and short circuit resistant. The insert also has one (1-way insert) or two (2-way use) PlusLink inputs that allow you to control the channels of the insert from elsewhere. The insert, complete with a module (see function overview), is the receiving device and is controlled by transmitting devices via PlusLink (PL). Transmitting devices are e.g. - Central point insert (complete with corresponding modules). Extension Plus 1 x / 2 x. Mechanical button. External sensors. To use the PlusLink you need a separate wire in your installation.
