Steve's Special™ is a non-traditional approach to a powerful bridge humbucking pickup. Hot humbuckers usually concentrate most of the pickup power in a narrow frequency band for maximum impact. With our patented dual-resonance design, the Steve's Special™ goes the reverse path and distributes sound across a wide range. Bass and treble are raised while the mids are retracted, so the power of the pickup does not drive a high-gain amplifier into the overdrive as easily. This makes the Steve's Special™ a good choice for both fast solos and clean chords, as individual notes do not smear with heavy overdrive and clean sounds have an almost "hi-fi" quality.
