The readers are expected to gain an insightful view on the current trends, issues, mitigating factors as well as solutions from this book. About the Author Dr. Ahmad Fakhri bin Ab. Nasir received his bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Universiti Malaya. He enrolled as a full-time master student at the Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, and received his master’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing). He pursued his Ph.D. specialised in Pattern Recognition at the Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin. He joined Universiti Malaysia Pahang as Senior Lecturer in the midst of 2016. He has published several articles and actively doing research related to computer vision, pattern recognition, image processing, machine learning, as well as parallel computing. Dr. Ahmad Najmuddin Ibrahim earned his first degree, B.Eng. majoring in Intelligent Systems Engineering at the University of Ibaraki, Japan, in 2011. He continued his M.Eng. in Intelligent Systems Engineering and graduated in 2013. He obtained his Ph.D. Engineering in the year 2017 at the Ibaraki University Graduate School of Science and Engineering majoring in Industrial Science. He is a Senior Lecturer for the Mechatronics Engineering course and a research member in Innovative Manufacturing, Mechatronics & Sports (IMAMS) Laboratory at the Faculty of Manufacturing and Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. Dr. Ismayuzri Ishak graduated in B.Eng. (Hons.) (Mechanical Engineering) at Universiti Malaysia Pahang in 2009. He received M.Eng. (Manufacturing), Universiti Malaysia Pahang, in 2013, and further studied at Florida Institute of Technology, USA, in 2014. His research interest includes robotics, additive manufacturing, theoretical kinematics and mechatronics.Dr. Nafrizuan Mat Yahya graduated in B.Eng. (Hons.) (Manufacturing Engineering with Management) at Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2004. He received M.Eng. (Manufacturing), Universiti Malaysia Pahang, in 2009, and further studied at the University of Sheffield, UK, by 2016 in Automatic Control & Systems Engineering. He is the Head of the Cybernetics and Systems Engineering Laboratory (CSEL) research group, Former Head of Control System Engineering Lab and Former Head of Program (Mechatronics) in Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. Dr. Aizzat earned his first degree in Electrical–Mechatronics Engineering at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. After finished his first degree, he pursued a career as Process R&D Engineer at Intel Microelectronics. He pursued a doctoral degree in Mechatronic Engineering specialised in the Autonomous Vehicle development at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur. He has published many research articles related to autonomous vehicle development in Malaysia. His research interests include intelligent vehicle navigation, vehicle stability control, robotics system modelling, and mechatronics system. Anwar P.P.
