Le présent ouvrage traite d'une étude portant sur la perception qu'ont les subordonnés de la relation qu'ils entretiennent avec leur leader. La théorie de l'échange entre leader et subordonné (LMX) a été utilisée pour analyser ces perceptions. L'objectif était de comprendre dans quelle mesure les subordonnés se sentaient appartenir au groupe interne ou au groupe externe en ce qui concerne les relations qu'ils entretenaient avec leurs supérieurs directs. Il a été identifié que la relation de haute qualité, telle que définie dans la LMX, est formée à partir de la loyauté, de l'affection, de la contribution et du respect professionnel que le leader et le subordonné entretiennent mutuellement. Il a été constaté que la perception de la qualité de cette relation et le sexe des répondants ont permis de distinguer les priorités accordées à la construction de cette relation. Il a été conclu que les relations dyadiques de haute qualité peuvent influencer les résultats de la performance individuelle et méritent, de ce fait, l'attention et l'investissement des organisations.
