Y, si existe, ¿cuál es? El sector hotelero en Viena, que no es una excepción en el mundo, siempre ha estado marcado por el estilo de sus líderes. Por lo general, un hotel tiene un director general al frente de la jerarquía y diferentes departamentos que dependen directamente de él o ella a través de sus gerentes. Por supuesto, no hay nada malo en esta estructura organizativa en general, pero el rendimiento general del hotel puede estar correlacionado positiva o negativamente con el estilo de liderazgo que el director general utiliza para dirigir el hotel. Uno de los objetivos de este trabajo, además de explicar los diferentes tipos de liderazgo y las ventajas competitivas que existen, es mostrar que el estilo de liderazgo que utiliza un establecimiento de 5 estrellas en Viena, o más concretamente los directivos de alto nivel, es muy importante para el rendimiento general del hotel y puede suponer una ventaja competitiva o no.
