River basin collects the rainwater that drains in its catchment area into small streams, which joins to form tributaries. For a healthy river, there must be a healthy environment and both are possible only if there is a healthy river basin. This fact is often neglected in several developmental plans and hence most of them face several serious issues. During the study, it was observed that Kadalundi river basin like any other river basin is not free from human interference and is facing several hydrological and environmental issues. Hence considering the hydrological and environmental significance of Kadalundi river basin, it is recommended to adopt an Integrated River Basin Management Plan.
