Les actions à bons de souscription sont des actifs financiers qui donnent le droit d''acquérir à un prix déterminé une certaine quantité d''actions à créer au cours d''une période donnée. L''objectif de notre recherche vise à expliquer les raisons pour lesquelles les entreprises choisissent d''ajouter des bons de souscription lors de l''émission des actions. Sur un échantillon de 207 émissions, des analyses univariées et multivariées ont été réalisées dans le but de tester l''influence de certaines variables sur le choix de l''émission d''ABSA ou d''actions. Nos résultats confirment l''hypothèse en vertu de laquelle les entreprises ayant une forte asymétrie d''information sont les plus émettrices d''ABSA. Des études d''évènement s''intéressent par la suite à l''évaluation de la réaction du marché à l''annonce d''émission de titres à caractère action. Les résultats obtenus montrent que la réaction du marché à l''émission d''ABSA est moins négative que celle d''émission d''actions. Ce constat confirme l''idée selon laquelle les entreprises émettent des ABSA pour atténuer la réaction négative du marché à l''annonce d''émission d''actions ordinaires.
