Unter der Führung von João Havelange, ihrem langjährigen Präsidenten, wurde die FIFA zur Sportorganisation Nummer 1 in der Welt. Die 24-jährige Präsidentschaft des Brasilianers, in der der Weltverband seinen rasanten Aufschwung erlebte, ist das Thema dieser Arbeit mit dem Titel Die Entwicklung der FIFA unter Präsident Havelange.
