Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Multimedia, Internet, neue Technologien, Note: 1,7, , Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Welche Variablen haben Einfluss auf verschiedene Aspekte des Bereichs Social Media? Wichtige Variablen könnten verschiedene Diversity-Dimensionen auf Seiten der Nutzer sein. Wie in vielen Bereichen der Sozialforschung wird das Geschlecht als elementarer Einflussfaktor vermutet. Diese unabhängige Variable ist Thema dieser Arbeit. Neben physischen Unterschieden wurden im Laufe der Zeit viele weitere Unterschiede wissenschaftlich debattiert. Hierbei sind physische, psychische emotionale sowie Verhaltensunterschiede erforscht worden. In Zeiten der Digitalisierung und der immer weiteren Verbreitung von Social Media Plattformen, wirft dies die Frage auf, ob sich Männer und Frauen nicht ebenfalls in ihrem Verhalten in Bezug auf das Internet unterscheiden. Insbesondere Unterschiede in der Nutzung von Social Media Kanälen sind von Interesse für Unternehmen, die immer mehr Zeit und Geld in Social Media investieren. Im Falle einer solchen, geschlechtsspezifischen Differenzierbarkeit wäre eine gezieltere Ansprache möglich und notwendig. Ein soziales Netzwerk, was auch bei Unternehmen immer mehr an Beliebtheit gewinnt ist Instagram. Einer Statistik vom Januar 2017 zufolge wird Instagram weltweit von 54% aller Unternehmen genutzt. Damit steht die Bildplattform nach Facebook Twitter und dem Jobportal LinkedIn auf Platz vier der Popularitätsrangliste. Ziel dieser Bachelorarbeit ist es, die Fragestellung zu erforschen, ob es Unterschiede zwischen Männern und Frauen in Deutschland bei ihrem Nutzverhalten der Social Media Plattform Instagram gibt. Hierfür werden verschiedene Hypothesen bezüglich der Nutzung und des Verhaltens aufgestellt und durch eine empirische Untersuchung bearbeitet. Zudem wird der theoretische Hintergrund für das Aufstellen der Forschungsfrage dargelegt.
