Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich BWL - Investition und Finanzierung, Note: 2,5, European School of Business Reutlingen, Veranstaltung: International Accounting and Taxation, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Bei einer Betrachtung auf die Ursachen der jüngsten Finanz- und Wirtschaftkrise seit 2007 wird ersichtlich, welche Bedeutung der Solvenz und der damit verbundenen Funktionsfähigkeit der Kreditwirtschaft für die Stabilität von Volkswirtschaften zukommt. Nachdem die Eigenkapitalanforderungen unter Basel II die letzte Finanz- und Wirtschaftskrise nicht behindern konnten (s. Insolvenz von Lehman Brothers), sollen Banken künftig durch die neuen Eigenkapital- und Liquiditätsvorschriften des neuen Reformpakets des Baseler Ausschusses für Bankenaufsicht (Basel III) an Stabilität gewinnen und weniger krisenanfällig werden bzw. wirksamer vor Finanzkrisen geschützt werden. Welche Anforderungen haben die neuen Vorschriften an die deutschen Banken und welche Auswirkungen resultieren daraus auf sie? Wird Basel III zu verteuerten Kreditkonditionen oder sogar auch zu einer Kreditklemme bzw. zu einem verändertem Kreditverhalten gegenüber dem deutschen Mittelstand führen? Wie könnte der Mittelstand auf mögliche negative Auswirkungen auf seine Finanzierung durch Bankkredite reagieren? Diese Fragen versucht die vorliegende Masterthesis durch eine inhaltliche Analyse der neuen Eigenkapital- und Liquiditätsvorschriften und deren Zusammenhang mit den einzelnen Faktoren, die für die Kreditvergabe der Banken entscheidend sind, zu beantworten.
