Product Description Das unionsrechtliche Verbot der Altersdiskriminierung hat im deutschen und italienischen Arbeitsrecht angesichts der weiten Verbreitung altersdifferenzierender Regelungen erheblichen Bedarf an Koordinierung mit den unionsrechtlichen Vorgaben ausgelöst. Es zählt zu den praktisch wichtigsten, zugleich aber am schwersten handhabbaren Diskriminierungsverboten. Die Untersuchung vergleicht anhand der unionsrechtlichen Strukturmerkmale des Diskriminierungsverbots seine Umsetzung im deutschen und italienischen Arbeitsrecht. Die Darstellung der völkerrechtlichen Vorläufer und der gesetzlichen Regelungen in einer Vielzahl praktischer Einzelfragen zeigt anschaulich, dass die Einbettung des Diskriminierungsverbots in das deutsche und italienische Arbeitsrecht weitgehend gelungen ist. About the Author Andreas Krause studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Er war dort als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Wirtschafts- und Arbeitsrecht sowie am Institut für Recht und Technik tätig.
