Sie beleuchtet dabei die freiwillige Kooperation sowohl mit nationalen als auch mit U.S.-Behörden. Zugleich rückt sie die Kooperation in den Kontext von Compliance. Es wird herausgearbeitet, ob und in welchem Umfang die Übermittlung personenbezogener Daten an die staatlichen Stellen zulässig ist. Die Arbeit soll zudem allgemein einen Beitrag zur Diskussion um die Rechtmäßigkeit internationaler Datentransfers in - aus datenschutzrechtlicher Sicht - unsichere Drittstaaten leisten. About the Author Kristof Nenninger studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität Passau und der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München und war mehrere Jahre in einer internationalen Anwaltssozietät tätig. Der Autor arbeitet derzeit als Rechtsanwalt im Bereich Compliance in einem großen deutschen Kreditinstitut.
