Vor dem Hintergrund der bisher eher geringen Beachtung des Unterrichtsfachs Musik für ein integriertes Sachfach- und Fremdsprachenlernen (Content & Language Integrated Learning) untersucht diese Arbeit das besondere Potenzial von Musik als CLIL-Modulpartner. Gerade aufgrund der fachspezifischen Arbeitsweisen in Form von rezeptiv-/produktiv-handelnder Auseinandersetzung mit Musik und einer dadurch erhöhten Emotionalität sowie Involviertheit der Lernenden ergeben sich vielfältige positive Begegnungen mit der Fremdsprache als Arbeitssprache. Neben einer ausführlichen Diskussion des Forschungsstands zu CLIL-Musik stehen auf der Basis einer unterrichtspraktischen Studie Aussagen zu motivationalen, fachlich-inhaltlichen, fremdsprachlichen sowie interkulturellen Aspekten im Fokus. Diese werden im Hinblick auf die Lehr- und Lernpraxis von CLIL-Musikmodulen diskutiert und interpretiert.
