Die Arbeit ist ein Beitrag zur Erforschung der Rolle von Phraseologie im literarischen Text. Als Untersuchungsgegenstand dient deutschsprachige Kinderliteratur, von den Klassikern Erich Kästners bis heute. Es wird der Frage nachgegangen, wie Phraseologismen und Sprichwörter im Kinderbuch funktionieren: in welchem Umfang sie verwendet werden, mit welchen Mitteln sie in den Kontext eingebettet sind, welche Funktionen sie im Text übernehmen. Zu diesem Zweck werden drei verschiedene Korpora (Kästners Kinderbücher, zwei von Kästners Romanen für Erwachsene sowie Kinderbücher von sechs weiteren Autoren) untersucht und miteinander verglichen. Dabei spielt neben textlinguistischen Ansätzen auch der erzähltheoretische Blickwinkel eine Rolle.
