Angeregt und unterstützt durch die zuständigen Bundesministerien und unter Beteiligung der Industrie und zahlreicher Hochschulinstitute hat die Deutsche Forschungs- und Versuchsanstalt für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DFVLR) in den Jahren 1978/79 eine Studie über Triebwerksforschung und -technologie in der Bundesrepublik erarbeitet, die auch den viel fältigen Technologietransfer in andere technische Bereiche erkennen ließ. Die Vorstellung dieser Studie im Bundesministerium für Forschung und Technologie (BMFT) vor Vertretern der Ministerien, der Industrie und der Forschung war Anlaß zu einer intensiven Diskussion der energiepolitischen und volkswirtschaftlichen Bedeutung der Turbo maschinen und der Konsequenzen für die zukünftige Forschungs- und Entwicklungstätigkeit auf diesem Gebiet. Im Ausland sind aufgrund der Energiesituation neue, umfangreiche und ehrgeizige Forschungspro gramme in Gang gekommen, die sich auch durch zunehmenden Kon kurrenzdruck auf die deutsche Industrie am Weltmarkt auszuwirken beginnen. Die im BMFT angeregte Diskussion hat die in der Forschungsvereini gung Verbrennungskraftmaschinen (FVV) zusammenarbeitende In dustrie sowie die Forschung veranlaßt, gemeinsam Vorstellungen über die wichtigsten Ziele von Forschung und Entwicklung im Turboma schinenbereich der nächsten zehn Jahre zu erarbeiten und hieraus eine systematische übersicht über die notwendig erscheinenden Forschungs und Entwicklungsarbeiten zu erstellen. Das Ergebnis dieser Bemühun gen - ein gemeinschaftlich von Industrie, Hochschulen und DFVLR ausgearbeiteter Orientierungsrahmen "Turbomaschinenforschung" wird hiermit der interessierten Fachöffentlichkeit und den Institutionen der Forschungsförderung vorgelegt. Dieser Orientierungsrahmen soll jedoch nicht nur mithelfen, die be grenzt verfügbaren Forschungsmittel von Industrie und Staat für FuE optimal einzusetzen.
