During her PhD she has worked on the toxicological and carcinogenic effects of air pollutants on human health. After completing her PhD, she has worked on stem cell culture as a Research Associate at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bangalore, India. Presently she is working on immunological and biochemical aspects of oral cancer and oral diseases. Somali Sanyal, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, India. She received her PhD from the Karolinska Medical University, Stockholm, Sweden. During her PhD she has worked on molecular epidemiology of urinary bladder cancer.
