Detailed explanation and step-by-step instructions are used in the PCB Design examples (ARES) for Single-Sided Boards, Double-Sided Boards and Multilayer Boards (four and six-layer boards). The examples show the creation of the Through Hole (TH) and Surface Mount (SMT) PCBs from scratch. They include transferring the Netlist from ISIS to ARES, drawing the PCB outline and placing the mounting holes, component placement, routing the board and copper pour generation, etc. The book covers the topics of Pre Production Check, Pick and Place file generation, creating the Manufacturing Notes, and the generation of Gerber / Excellon Output files for the manufacturer. In addition, the examples in the book show how to create new packages in ARES Library and how to use the Auto Router in single sided, double sided and multilayer PCBs.
