About the Author Alexandra Tsedryk is an Associate Professor in the Department of Modern Languages at Mount Saint Vincent University, Canada. Her research focuses on the development of paraphrasing skills, vocabulary learning and teaching, and assessment of language skills. She is the author of the book La compétence paraphrastique en français langue seconde (2016), and has contributed articles to national and international publications. Christine Doe is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Mount Saint Vincent University, Canada. Her research examines the validity of language tests used for multiple purposes, as well as investigating language use across different contexts, such as higher education and workplace settings. She has published articles in Language Assessment Quarterly, Journal of English for Academic Purposes, and System.
