About the Author Yufeng Qian , Ed.D., is a doctoral faculty member in the Graduate School of Education at Northeastern University. She teaches research methods courses and serves as the doctoral research chair in the Doctor of Education program. Prior to joining Northeastern, she worked at Dartmouth College for the online professional education programs. Previously, she was Associate Professor of Education at St. Thomas University, teaching in the Doctor of Education and Master of Science in Education programs. Dr. Qian’s research interests include the design, development and assessment of technology-enhanced learning environments, emerging learning technologies, and the design of authentic learning tasks and modeling, coaching, and scaffolding strategies for active and deep learning. She is the author of a number of journal articles and book chapters on emerging technologies. In addition, she provides editorial review for SAGE and IGI Global. Qian holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Technology from Lehigh University, and a Master of Education in TESOL from State University of New York at Buffalo. She was the recipient of 2017 CPS Award for Teaching Excellence at Northeastern University.
