About the Author Kevin M. Bonney is a clinical assistant professor and the assistant dean of faculty development and program advancement in Liberal Studies at New York University. He earned his doctoral degree in microbiology and immunology from Northwestern University. Dr. Bonney has authored and coauthored numerous articles and case studies within his field of expertise.Lori Nicholas is a biology instructor at Northwest Vista College, where she teaches lecture and lab courses. She previously served as a master teacher in the Liberal Studies at New York University, where she taught life science courses for non-majors and developed an online life science course. Professor Nicholas earned her master’s degree in biology from New York University.
